This was in the Sunday edition of the Duluth News Tribune in memory of the victims of the Aurora Colorado shootings at the premiere of the Dark Knight Rises.
As the debate rages about gun control and the shooter's motives, let us not forget to focus on those who suffered, and those who have lost loved ones in this awful tragedy. Words can't do justice to describe what happened that night; and it happens all too frequently in our country, supposedly the most civilized in the world.
My wife and I pray for those who survived the night, and for the families of those who did not. Did this young man choose a Batman movie to illustrate a point he was attempting to convey? No matter the point he thinks he made, let us not forget the evil men commit if left unchecked; nor should we forget to grieve with those who have suffered because of the choice one person has made. God bless. Yours in Christ, Ian T Curtis.
