Dragonsong Reviews

I keep telling myself I don’t read fantasy. Except now I do…The story Curtis tells is a large story, an ambitious story, and he keeps it perfectly under control, leading the reader through a journey and ultimately a quest that are simultaneously magical and real…The imagination that created this story and this world is amazing, matched only by the detail that’s used to make this world so real. I repeatedly forgot that I was reading a fantasy novel…Curtis is one fine storyteller.    ~G. Young, faithfictionfriends.blogspot.com

The Canticles of Andurun: Dragonsong has very quickly become one of my favorite reads. Ian writes with such a passion that it is impossible not to sense it as you read…The characters of the lands are wonderfully detailed as well, heroes and villains alike…but meshing and linking together so perfectly…[H]is love of God comes through in his writing. But instead of overpowering the story, his faith enhances it, giving it purpose as well as pleasure…it is a wonderfully written beginning to a fantastic saga.   ~S. Wilton, reader

Well written story filled with the adventures of a young man that chooses the fight for the freedom of human race.   ~K. Allar, reader

I have over 60 books of this type and I can't seem to quit reading parts of this book. The thought put into this story makes me wish the person whom wrote this book would open a portal to this land and let me in. I can't wait for the rest of this series [to] allow us all the chance to explore the rest of Andurun.   ~J. Klassen, reader

Absolutely captivating. It will keep readers spellbound until the last page. He will make you feel the characters, understand the plight of the hero, loath the villain, and believe in the impossible.   ~G. Wilton, reader

I love the fact the author put his testimony at the front of this book. It gave me a connection with the author so that I wanted to read the book even more. This book has incredible world-building, but at times it can be verbose and drawn out for my taste. This is no short story! It has a complex plot with detailed characters. Sure to be a new favorite among fantasy lovers. ~P. Creeden of SpiritFilledKindle.com

I am currently finishing Dragonmarch, the sequel to this book.. I am completely enthralled in this series and I often read until my phone battery is nearly dead.. Dragonsong and it's sequels is a must read for any fantasy fan.. I personally will be an avid reader until the final book in the series. ~Bigrich62486
